The Berlin Eye Clinic, located near Kurfürstendamm (center of Berlin), is an internationally oriented Ophthalmic Clinic. The Berlin Eye Clinic specialises in the treatment of Cataract, Retina, Glaucoma and Oculoplastic Surgery. Mr Bilal Chamat, MD FEBO (Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology), Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, is Clinical Director of the Berlin Eye Clinic and performs more than 1500 ophthalmic procedures on an in- and outpatient basis per year.

Mr Chamat’s ophthalmic training took place in Hamburg, London, Bristol and Paris and he undertook subspeciality training in Cataract Surgery, Retina and Cosmetic Lid Surgery in internationally renowned hospitals such as Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He is also a member of the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Results of his scientific and medical research have been published in peer reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings. Mr Chamat participated in ophthalmic charity projects in Africa and India, where he also trained local ophthalmic surgeons.

Located within the beautiful contemporary surroundings of the Leibniz Colonnades in Walter-Benjamin-Platz, in close proximity to Kurfürstendamm, the Berlin Eye Clinic offers the state of the art in ophthalmic diagnostics, treatment and surgical procedures.
